Did you know smoking a pack of cigarettes everyday for a year, will put as much as 1 cup of tar in your lungs?

Smoking is a common problem, and many people suffer from this unhealthy habit, due to the nicotine boost it provides to the brain.

However, regular smoking can cause various chronic and deadly diseases, such as cancer, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and bronchitis. Of all organs, Lungs are the most severely impacted and damaged by smoking.

Today we are going to learn, how to cleanse our lungs in 1 week using natural ways, and evade the negative impact of smoking.

Although note that, in case you have been a regular smoker for a long period, it might take more than few years for the nicotine and tar to completely leave the body.

Nonetheless, this 1 week cleanse will rid your body of harmful chemicals and toxins, and rejuvenate it.

As a preparatory measure before staring the 1 week routine. Cut down all intake of dairy products for at least 2 to 3 days prior to starting the cleanse routine.

Also, consume at least 2 cups of green tea everyday during this period.

The anti-oxidants in green tea will flush the body of free-radicals and toxins, and enhance the impact of the routine.

It goes without saying that you control yourself from consuming any cigarette during this period and completely refrain from it. Otherwise, the routine will completely fail.

To begin the routine, you must consume a lot of lung-cleansing juices, such as lemon juice, grapefruit juice, carrot juice, orange juice, and pineapple juice.

You can consume all 5 or at least 3 of the above juices, regularly during the 7 day routine.

Second, you must engage in some form of moderate physical exercise, such as jogging or cycling, that helps in expelling toxins and improving lung functions.

Third, take long warm showers everyday for about 10 to 15 minutes to allow the skin pores to open up and expel all toxins.

Fourth, everyday spend 5 to 10 minutes taking steam therapy. Add a little eucalyptus oil or leaves to a bowl of water and boil it.

Once boiled, place your head over the bowl and cover your head with a towel. Inhale the steam to cleanse your entire respiratory system.

And last, everyday spend about 15 to 20 minutes doing deep breathing exercises. You can even try popular yoga breathing exercises, such as Aalom Veelom and other forms of Pranyama (Yogic Brathing). ("Relaxation Techniques for Health: What You Need To Know")

If you are able to ensure these five things for a week everyday, your lungs will be cleansed considerably.

The tell-tale signs of improvements would be the following, you’ll be able to breathe more easily. You’ll have more stamina, feel relaxed and less stressed, your sense of smell and taste would be heightened, your skin quality will improve, and your teeth and breath quality will also improve.

So, there you go friends. A simple 1 week routine to cleanse your lung of toxins and impurities. In case you smoke regularly, do try this yourself and or tell your smoker friends to help them benefit from this.
